The COVID-19 coronavirus is bearing down on us as our economy goes into free fall. Could this be our very own Republican Great Depression? If so, we need an FDR to address it. After Sunday's Democratic presidential debate, it seems former Vice President Joe Biden might actually not be the train-wreck we first assumed he was. Good thing, because after Sen. Bernie Sanders' lackluster primary performance, Biden is all but the presumptive nominee. You know what that means. He'll be facing Trump in the fall, and if he can keep sounding like he did on Sunday, we have a good chance of sending Orange Twitler packing. But if Biden migrates back toward the center, we could all but guarantee another Trump term. And that would mean the end of this experiment. Literally. Look at what's going on right now. Can you imagine the destruction another Trump term could unleash when he's got nothing to lose?
Also this week, we averted an asteroid, a 5.7-magnitude earthquake shook Utah, gun store sales are soaring amid coronavirus fears, Italy experiences its biggest rise in COVID-19 death, and several US lawmakers were caught trying to dump their stocks after being briefed about the virus back in February.
