This episode features college professor, author, veteran, and activist Tommy Zurhellen.
Tommy discusses his cross-country walking journey last year from Oregon to Poughkeepsie, his work with Hudson River Housing, his non-profit organization VetZero, and his writing.
As we approach Memorial Day, let's stop merely giving lip service to veterans. We love them thrice a year: Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Veterans' Day. We throw them a little love again when we're getting ready to bomb a country of brown people half a world away. But other than that, veterans have become what Thomas Jefferson feared when he said, "Our men are so happy at home that they will not hire themselves to be shot at for a shilling a day."
Read here about how this administration is treating those in uniform (hint: not well).

I'm still interested in hearing from Canadians or those who know some willing to talk with me about the Canadian national healthcare system. Please tweet me @tedmillar
Enjoy! Stay Well! Keep fighting the good fight!
