This Memorial Day, Let's Include in Our Thoughts All the Victims of Trump's Coronovirus "War"

This Memorial Day, let's remember all the ways the Trump administration is pimping our military.  The most recent example: 40,000 National Guard soldiers helping states test residents for the coronavirus and trace infections are being told their deployments will end June 24--one day before they would have been eligible for federal education and retirement benefits guaranteed under the G.I. Bill. Classy, huh? Tell that to your Trump-loving Uncle Ralph whose man cave is decorated with bald-eagle wallpaper. Could antibodies present in llama blood defend against the coronavirus? That 's what a study published last week in the journal Cell proposes. Are you aware of the financial services available to you under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act? If not, read this.  It turns out, we really can cut carbon emissions by driving less. We're doing it right now by sheltering in place.  Ironically, it's taking a pandemic to do it.  But something the coronavirus/COVID-19 is making worse: race relations. It should come as no surprise that African Americans are dying of COVID at an alarmingly higher rate than other races. Considering how the Trump administration is responding to the pandemic by repeating we're "doing a great job," this might be exactly the intended outcome. As long as Trump's white, wealthy donors are fat and happy, we're doing a "great job." How's that $1,200 "stimulus" check going? Is it keeping you afloat? Well, if now, The Washington Post just uncovered an internal State Department plan to give Americans direct cash payments directly from their Social Security benefits. That's right. Still don't have enough money, just take it from what you've paid into Social Security, yet another Republican ploy to starve the 85-year-old earned income benefit so their Wall St. cronies can make a buck off it. And finally...Trump's claim he's taking Hydroxychloroquine is bullshit.  He's lied over 17,000 times; why would we assume he's telling the truth this time?
